Probably best described as Proto-Hellcat, as well as Progenitrix, Mardell is a phenomenal woman (in this writer's indubitably biased opinion.)

She dropped out of school and married her high school sweetheart only to divorce him a short time later.

Looking for a fresh start, she moved to San Francisco with 20¢ in her pocket.

She traveled the country with her best friend, Tailspin before returning to Spokane and marrying my father. She raced stock cars in Spokane, was a radio DJ in Kalispell before working as an Affirmative Officer at Argonne Nat'l Labs in Southern Idaho.

All the while raising two kids and touring on motorcycles.

She worked as a consultant flying out to corporate HQs and setting up their own affirmative action programs.

In the late 70s, she started her own firm despite the advice of some old geezer who told her "women had no business running companies." She organized other local businesswomen. They met once a week and addressed common issues. And after that she began teaching classes at the local community college.
	Also, with her brothers, she started an outreach organization, the Child Protective League, which educated children against sexual predators. About eight years ago, she sold her six businesses and retired to spend more time traveling which is what she is still doing.

I hasten to point out that my father is also purdy damn cool but this website is about hellcats and I am forced to give him a miss.
